MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) websites are packed with information. I designed the website to help prospective players learn about the game and support existing players during game play. We worked in the Agile process and launched the site in 2.5 months to meet major deadlines.

I was the design lead involved in all stages of development including informal research, working with product managers, designers and engineering from concept to implementation. I delivered the site map, wireframes, created low-fidelity prototypes for in-house design verification, and provided detailed specifications.

The Homepage focuses on delivering news, keeping players up to date on current events, and for staying connected to the community.

The Game Guide is a tool for providing information about game play mechanics. It is organized to help new players find basic game instructions and for advanced players to skip to specific details such as how a piece of armor or weapon can better equip them for battle or the benefits of a particular elixir. 

Description

To validate the design and identify areas for improvement, I created paper prototypes of the site and recruited participants to perform various tasks to analyze the effort required to navigate the site.

The Marketing Site is a crucial element for introducing the game to prospective players. It is a media rich environment that delivers screenshots and concept art as a window into the game. I worked closely with the marketing team and visual design to identify requirements and create concepts.
